MEMBERSHIP IN FORT LEWIS CHAPTER, NSDAR

Membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is open to any woman who is at least 18 years of age. She must be able to establish her blood lineage to a man or woman who provided support for the cause of American Independence during the American Revolutionary War. She should be willing to explore her love of "God, Home and Country" through activities and programs with the chapter, the Virginia DAR, and the National Society DAR.

DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who proves lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.
